Chesley Bonestell's Gargoyles
Chesley Bonestell is most commonly thought of in relation to science fiction art. He is the namesake of the prestigious Chesley Awards given by ASFA (Association of Science Fiction Artists) to the year's best works in science fiction art.
While Bonestell's space and science fiction art helped launch the imagination of an era, he began in the architecture and design field, producing the concept art for the Golden Gate Bridge and helping design the facade of one of America's most iconic structures, the Chrysler Building in New York City, right down to the gargoyles.
