Fellow Connecticut resident Kyle Phillips was recently announced on the Writers of the Future blogsite as one of the quarterly winners in the L Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future contest. Kyle has a lot to look forward to such as an air and lodging expenses paid trip to Hollywood, rubbing elbows and getting advice from professional illustrators and authors in the field and a black tie awards ceremony that is truly memorable. In order to win the quarterly prize Kyle's art (and mine last year) was judged by Stephen Youll, Frank Frazetta, Bob Eggleton, Stephen Hickman, Vincent Di Fate and others. This is a big deal for aspiring illustrators.
