Grunewald's Haunting Vision

I've always loved this painting from the first time I saw it in a little thumbnail in an art history book in the '80s. Matthias Grunewald had a great vision and you have to appreciate that we are still looking at and admiring his artwork 500 years after its creation. Unforgettable imagery...hope this inspires you to draw something tonight!

Then we would not have the amazing works to look at now, and they would be lost.
