Big news today is that Patrick Mcgoohan died January 13 at age 80. The TV series "The Prisoner" still resonates and I would say you can see it's influence in shows like "Lost." The Prisoner is currently being remade by AMC starring Jim Caviezel (sp?).
Mcgoohan was Cary Grant smooth and witty in the role of Number 6. The Prisoner had a super limited run - like 13 episodes, with a surrealistic ending that still confuses this Number.
There was also a Prisoner graphic novel that came out late '80s called Shattered Visage.
