This is what I mean when I say I've been drawing the same thing since I was 7 years old. Isn't it reminiscent of the below picture "The Mars"? Click on the picture for a more detailed view. I've always felt this illustration was inspired by Virgil Finlay, Jack Kirby and Chesley Bonestell with a dash of Vincent Di Fate.
